I just shelled out $299 for some software after being pretty impressed with the results, I tried a few free ones and the sound quality sucked.
What am I talking about? Software that allows you to record your computers display and talk to do video tutorials on how to do Joomla. I plan on putting videos onto youtube as well as here, Maybe even check out this site I keep hearing everyone talk about I think its called myspot or myspace or some crap like that (I am joking, I know the damn name)

It happen at approxmenly 2am and traffic has seemed to double, If you do a google search on 'custom error page joomla' we are the 10th result so I redid the meta tags a bit for that page just to see what would happen next time we got crawled
In doing so, I edited the articles Alias (which generated the SEF url) I was thinking okay great, now anyone that goes since the link changed they will get a 404, So I started to mess more with my article Custom error (404) pages.
Started to look at actually doing it for this new site. So I try to get myself an error with changing http://www.joomlamafia.com/how-to/2-how-to/2-custom-error-pages-404.html to http://www.joomlamafia.com/how-to/2-how-to/2-drupal-sucks.html
WTF?! I don't get a 404, I get the page http://www.joomlamafia.com/how-to/2-how-to/2-custom-error-pages-404.html HMMM and then it hits me, see that 2 after the 2-how-to, I can change that how to, to tutorial or joomla-how-to and guess what? that 2 wont change. I can change the alias or article name to whatever I want and that 2 is the id number of the article, thats all joomla cares about. With the mod_rewrite it will send the user to that article number, not a name so I don't have to worry damn if I change this articles name, or the alias to something more SEF or SEO its going to break my search engine results.
Joomla really is good like Turn Around Medias first joomla video on SEO. Only hes using old ass software still
Moving onto the next Google related subject. I totally forgot to add the code to my site for google analystics until my site was like 2.5 days old. I just wanted t share a few snap shots I took of the results so far.
Not to bad for about 3 days of stats not counting today, after finally being on 1 major search engine. that 2.82% is traffic I got from the iwebtools I paid like $9.95 for it, Next month I'll be paying for the gold membership, To me its worth it, I got 11 vistors in 2 days from the site for lifetime listing.

So I am hard at work trying to promote this site some. I found a cool site called Best Of Joomla they have a lot of useful information on ad ons and show off other joomla sites, So I submitted mine go check it out and help my site out.
Google Site Map has been done before this site even had a logo really, so has submitting the url
Google Analystics are going along with quantcast and woopra and my own awstats.
Added a bot called DrBot to the #joomla channel and its logging now and making a stats page found in the title

Today JoomlaMafia.com released its very first Joomla 1.5 Add On, Mafia Cloud we also installed it on our site, Got a few new sponsors and had a few search engines crawl our site. Also we hit have used over 1030MB of bandwidth. Not bad for a site less then 4 days old.
